After the first round of direct peace talks between the Afghan government and Taliban was completed in Pakistan, the two sides have agreed to continue negotiating after Ramadan. A statement issued by Pakistan's foreign office on Wednesday said the talks took place the night before in the Murree hill station tourist resort near the capital Islamabad. A Pakistani foreign office official told Anadolu Agency that there had been further talks scheduled for Wednesday but both sides agreed to a postponement in order to consult with their respective leaderships.
