Spain's coronavirus death toll marked the highest daily rise Saturday with 838 new fatalities. The country has now recorded a total of 6,528 deaths from the COVID-19 outbreak, according to the Health Ministry said Saturday.
Meanwhile, the total number of infected rose to 78,797 from 72,248.
Spain has the world's second-highest COVID-19 death toll after Italy, where over 10,000 people died from the disease.
