Discovery Communications to acquire CNBC-e from Turkey’s Doğuş Group

World's leading paid television programmer Discovery Communications announced its deal with Turkey's Doğuş Media Group to acquire CNBC-e television channel.
Through this acquisition, Discovery will increase the number of its TV channels in Turkey to 13, while it will also take its first step to national broadcasting in Turkey. Acquisition will be finalized by the end of 2015.
Meanwhile, Doğuş Media Group will be in charge of Discovery's advertising activities in Turkey.
Kasia Kieli, head of Discovery Networks for central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa stated their expanded relationship with Doğuş will move Discovery to the next level in Turkey. The company has recently appointed Sissian Margos as Discovery Networks Turkey general manager.
CNBC-e, founded in 2000, broadcasts economy reports during daytime, while broadcasting TV series and movies rest of the day.
Discovery, known for its documentary programs and channels broadcasted in more than 200 countries, has recently acquired Eurosports channel for $537 million on July 2.
