Erdal İnci's solo exhibition the "Clones Project," which features nine video art works, carried out with the collaboration of Artnivo, is now on show for visitors. He uses cloning technology in his artwork, which is on display at Zorlu Performing Arts Center (PSM). For him, cloning is an old technique and was used to create a crowd with a few people in the films. He pushed the borders of aesthetics and art and created a new language. He had been working on this project for five years. İnci filmed different public locations, streets and squares of Istanbul. He normally works alone but there are some projects in which he has collaborated. As he works in public places, he does his shooting in the morning. He thinks that an irrelevant figure in a frame creates a disadvantage. He first decides the frame and then designs a placement or choreography according to the content, historical pattern and architecture of the photo. Özlem Ünsal, the art consultant of the exhibition, said in a statement that İnci's shots from Istanbul and Berlin can also be seen in the exhibition. Participating in many different exclusive, joint and solo exhibition projects, İnci previously opened another solo exhibition "Mass Ornament" at the Michael Schultz Gallery in Berlin. His video collection is not displayed gif format but is on big format screens with original video resolution.
