Arrest warrant issued for 9 involved in illegal wiretapping

Ankara 4th Penal Court of Peace has issued an arrest warrant, upon objection by the prosecution, for 9 people involved in illegal wiretapping that had been released under judicial control.
The public prosecutor conducting the investigation, Alpaslan Karabay objected to the decision of Ankara 3rd Penal Court of Peace. The court did not change the decision and sent the request to the superior court.
Ankara 4th Penal Court of Peace ruled for the arrest warrant for Salih Keskinkılıç, Ahmet Ümit Seçgin, Yunus Yazar and Coşgun Çakar that had been released before under judicial control.
The court also ruled for the arrest warrant for the former Bitlis police chief Sadettin Akgüç, former Ankara deputy police chief of counter-terrorism unit Lokman Kırcılı, former deputy director of intelligence Gürsel Aktepe, former İzmir deputy chief of police Ramazan Karakayalı and fourth-degree police chief Emre Baykal.
The court declined the arrest warrant requests for the former director of intelligence of security general directorate Ömer Altıparmak, former police chiefs Hüseyin Özbilgin and Ayhan Falakalı.
