Two members of the Free Cause Party (HÜDA-PAR) have been shot dead on Friday during clashes with members of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in Turkey's eastern Şırnak province.
According to undisclosed sources, the clashes erupted when a group of HÜDA-PAR members did not allow HDP members to carry out an election campaign in Şırnak's Kozluca village. As the two groups were arguing an HDP supporter opened fire on HÜDA-PAR members and injured at least eight people.
Abdülcelal Talayhan, 38, and Mehmet Şerif, 34, who were seriously injured in the fight and were taken to Nusaybin State Hospital, but they did not survive despite all efforts.
Last year in December, another clash between the two same groups caused the deaths of three people when HDP supporters reportedly attacked the Nur neighborhood in Şırnak, where members of HÜDA-PAR reside, set houses on fire and fired rounds at them.
