Incubation centers for entrepreneurs
Techno-parks designed by Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) and the Middle East Technical University (METU) feature exclusive incubation centers for entrepreneurs in Istanbul, İzmir and Ankara as well as in various cities throughout Anatolia. Special enterprises such as "e-tohum" and international events such as Startup Istanbul enable global investors to go hunting for entrepreneurs in Istanbul. Various steps are also taken by METU and İTÜ to bring entrepreneurs into the global arena, especially in the U.S. Turkish entrepreneurs are coming together with global investors via annual events. METU TEKNOKENT T-Jump and İTÜ Gate projects help new enterprises to take roots in the Silicon Valley while projects such as Türk Telekom Pilott help entrepreneurs to get accustomed to the Silicon Valley.
New entrepreneurs create new employment
New entrepreneur businesses take the advantage of user data on the Internet and prioritize customer audience. Through this strategy, data mining and marketing skills based on personal data are brought to the fore. As widely seen, virtual reality, driverless cars or air vehicles as well as new generation technologies and renewable energy continuously grow. In return, the number of employees needed for these industries also increases. Marketing, media and content management fields, where fast changes occur, divert from traditional business styles but focus on video, social media and new generation publishing platforms.
