BANGUI — Central African Republic authorities have banned on Wednesday, sending or receiving text messaging via GSM service, according to a ministry of communications statement.
Users who try to send text messages receive a text message in French saying, 'you do not have permission for text messaging'. The country has been battling a civil war for the past year. Many Muslims have been killed in the process leaving the country in turmoil.
