The United Nations mission in Mali says three people were killed and 12 wounded in a rocket attack on a U.N. base in the northeastern city of Kidal. In a statement the U.N. mission said more than 30 rockets and shells hit the U.N. base in Kidal at about 5:40 a.m. Sunday. The attack killed a U.N. soldier and two civilians. The U.N. said that 12 people were wounded. The U.N. said that its forces returned fire at about 6 a.m. It said the shots were fired from a spot about 2 kilometers from the camp.
