A White House lockdown triggered by a loud noise on Saturday morning is now contained and there is no serious threat, media reports said.
A tweet by WTOP local radio quoted the Secret Service as saying there was a fire on a street corner outside the White House but that it was not considered a serious threat and the security situation was now contained.
Other media said a street food vendor truck nearby was on fire.
