A fire broke out in the office of Mustafa Destici, the chairman of the opposition Great Unity Party (BBP), in the capital Ankara yesterday after what the media reported as an explosion.
Destici was attending a meeting in another room at the party headquarters when the fire broke out.
The cause of the blaze was not clear when Daily Sabah went to print but media outlets reported that a faulty air conditioner in the room exploded.
The fire was put out by firefighters and no casualties or injuries have been reported.
