A police officer in the German city of Karlsruhe issued a parking ticket on Monday to one of the sculptures of Austrian artist Erwin Wurm.
The work of art is labelled "Truck" and is a 'bent' red Mercedes-Benz food truck with its rear portion curved up vertically against the walls of the Karlsruhe Weinbrenner house.
Unfortunately, the car sculpture was half-parked in a restricted parking zone giving the parking enforcement officers the right to fine the Austrian artist.
According to Germany's Süddeutsche Zeitung, the city mayor Frank Mentrup announced that he will try to clear up the misunderstanding and 'reverse' the ticket.
Created by Wurm, 69, who is famous in Austria for bending and twisting cars, trucks and the such for 'art', the sculpture was meant for the 300th birthday celebrations of the city of Karlsruhe.
