Educational Workshops
Educational workshops are an important part of the Antalya Culture and Arts Center. The first floor of the building is dedicated and named after Suna and Inan Kirac and in consultation with the Pera Museum for its services. Cultural workshops will be organized for children four-12 years old and will parallel the themes of the exhibitions. The Antalya Culture and Arts Center is working with the National Education Directorates and Turkish Education Volunteers Foundation to make it possible for financially underprivileged children to attend the workshops on weekdays.
The Colorful Building
The Antalya Culture and Arts Center's building served as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry building from 1971-2008. The building was demolished in 2013 and rebuilt in 2014. Designed by architect Dr. Sinan Genim, the Antalya Culture and Arts Center is now an eye-catching array of colors that grabs the attention of both locals and tourists. Two-thousand square meters of exhibition and workshop space make the cultural center an international and national focus point. The heating, cooling and dehumidifying systems that work 24 hours a day make the culture center a perfect place to exhibit works of world-renowned artists. The building is specially designed to be suitable for disabled visitors with elevators and bathrooms that fit wheelchairs. The Antalya Culture and Arts Center is open every day except Mondays. Being open to visitors between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., children up to the age of 14 can visit free of charge. Disabled visitors and their escorts can enter free of charge as well.
