Hundreds of cafes, stores and restaurants in Beyoğlu are starting a comprehensive culture and arts organization as part of the Beyoğlu Festival. Organized for the first time this year, the Beyoğlu Festival runs from May 25 to May 29 and expects to welcome hundreds of managers and artists. The motto of the festival is "Festival of Living Together."
Hundreds of business managers came together for Beyoğlu, the cultural and central hub of Istanbul, and decided to hold the Beyoğlu Festival to bring color to Istanbul and emphasize tradesmen solidarity in the historic district. Beyoğlu Tradesmen Solidarity released a statement underscoring the motto of unity: "We live in Beyoğlu and keep Beyoğlu alive." They said ion the statement: "We aim to introduce all the cultural, historical and public values of Beyoğlu to the masses via BeyoğluFest. To become a part of this festival, which is organized by people who have been trying to preserve the cultural and historical values of the district for years, protect Beyoğlu, keep it alive and embrace the different identities that the district has been assuming for centuries, we invite all Istanbulites to come and join us in Beyoğlu."
To enable more participants to become a part of the festival, the Beyoğlu Tradesmen Solidarity is not organizing the festival under the auspices of any commercial sponsor. The festival will have various cultural and arts events, food stalls, live performances and discounts. The festival welcomes theater owners, restauranteurs, cafes, publishers and culture and arts institutions and is supported by actors, musicians, TV personalities, writers, artists and people that dedicate their lives to Beyoğlu.
