Curated by renowned producer and choreographer Uğurhan Akdeniz, the exhibition, titled "Blender is the New Black," will bring together famous figures from various fields of creative industries.
Director Ali Bilgin, stylist Başak Dizer Tatlıtuğ, musician and journalist Melis Danişmend and illustrator Sedat Girgin share their personal stories that have shaped their creativity in different parts of their lives through various objects.
Organized as part of the #walktoBLACK events, the exhibition will be presented Dec. 19 and Dec. 30 at Room & Rumours.
The curator, Akdeniz, said, "I start from the point which is the blend of what a person lived through his or her life. Ali, Başak, Melis and Sedat actually blended their talents together with the things that have inspired them throughout their career."
"There are strong traces of our personal stories in these blends," he said. "We discussed in details their personal stories for 'Blender is the New Black.' These stories along with objects that symbolize them will be seen in the exhibition."
"These figures, whose productions were always prominent for us, invite us to the background for the first time. The stories of the quartet, some of which are my close friends while the others are the ones that I have been following for a while, are so new and exciting for me, as well," he added.
