Necmi Karkın's new exhibition "Rhizomatic Coincidences" opens May 18 at F Art Gallery in Istanbul. In the exhibition, visitors seek an answer to how imaginative remains in caves in the Anatolian region create associations inside us with aesthetics that guarantee their own symbols.
It is a tragedy to experience this age without knowing the imaginative results of moisture and light on stones carved in the period of Paphlagonia in Asar Fortress in the Bafra district of Samsun province. Connections carved inside stones are not dead ends referring to an arrival.Born in Adana province, Karkın is a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA). Karkın chooses to conduct his cultural and aesthetical works around Mount Nemrud. He moved away from the time concept of the age, dispensed with the world of objects and came to terms with the doctrinal situations of his own life paradigm through nature's aesthetic phenomenon.
Rhizomatic Coincidences is the fifth solo exhibition by the artist. It consists of 18 oil and acrylic paintings and can be seen until May 30. The artist is an academic at İnönü University's Fine Arts and Design Faculty.
