Being held for the 10th time in Trabzon, International Art Days will be open through until Oct. 21. Hosting artists from Afghanistan, Georgia, Russia and Iran in addition to local ones, exhibitions, fashion parades, photography displays, conversations, plays, film screenings and concerts will be held during the event. Adnan Taç, head of Trabzon Art House, spoke to the press and said Trabzon will continue to host leading figures this year.
Explaining that many events are organized under the context of international art days, Taç added: "In addition to various events, such as exhibitions, auditions, conversations and autograph sessions, we will host many artists both from the national and international arena that produce visual and stage art in addition to men of letters."
The figures who will be hosted by the organization include Levent Ülgen, who has acted in many Turkish TV dramas such as "Akasya Durağı" ("Akasya Taxi Stop"), "Kiralık Aşk" ("Love for Rent") and "Kocaman Ailem" ("My Huge Family"); Galip Erdal, who acted in another Turkish TV drama "Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz" ("Bandits"); Sinan Tuzcu, who is among the team of the Turkish TV drama "Sen Anlat Karadeniz" ("Lifeline"); poet Sezai Sarıoğlu; writer Müge İplikçi; award-winning director Yeşim Ustaoğlu; famous violinist Cihat Aşkın, who will also give a recital to be accompanied by piano; and Russian pianist Vsevolod Timofeev. Taç stressed that the International Art Days, organized by Trabzon Art House, have breathed life into the city and contributed to the promotion of Trabzon in the international arena.
