Russian President Vladimir Putin's favorite presidential driver was killed in a head-on-crash in capital Moscow city on Tuesday.
The incident took place on Kutuzuvsky Avenue, when Putin's black BMW was struck by another vehicle which crossed over from the opposite side of the road.
Putin was attending the G-20 Summit in Hangzhou, China at the time of the accident, holding meetings with state officials, reports said.
Putin's driver was immediately pronounced dead, while the driver of the other car, which was a black Mercedes, was in critical condition and was taken to a hospital.
Although the presidential driver has not been named yet, he is reported to have 40 years of driving experience.
The police are investigating the incident.
