Istanbul Modern is now providing a versatile service to its visitors with its library along with artistic activities like exhibitions, movie screenings and trainings.
Istanbul Modern's Library continues to serve as a reference center for books and publications on history and artists from Turkish art history, museums, galleries and private art collections, for corporate publications and for those interested in art trends, photography and museum studies. You can access more than 11,500 books and 24 Turkish and foreign publications at Istanbul Modern Library, which regularly exchanges books and publications with 17 other renowned libraries and art institutions in Turkey and 74 from abroad including Centre Pompidou, MoMa and Kunsthaus Zurich.
Library Detectives for Children
Istanbul Modern is organizing a workshop titled "Library Detectives" for the Library Week aiming to encourage children between the ages of nine and 12 to research games they will play at Istanbul Modern Library. The event aims to create awareness in children about the importance libraries have in our lives and teach, through entertaining methods, the tools and methods used for conducting research.
The program runs until March 31 at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. everyday for school groups free of charge. Do not forget to book your place to attend these workshops.
