Turkish construction and energy group Enka has bid in a tender to build and operate a 1,500 megawatt power plant in Oman, Enka power station coordinator Tahsin Kosem told reporters on Tuesday.
The result of the tender is expected on April 11. He said the company was also preparing to bid in a tender for a 1,500 MW power plant in Egypt.
Enka power stations produced some 14.2 percent of Turkey's electrical demand last year and plans to provide 13.8 percent this year, Kosem said.
