Turkish Central Bank Governor Erdem Basci said on Friday the bank's inflation target of 5 percent for end-2012 is easily achievable and the measures implemented for financial stability are meeting their goals.
He also said, in an e-mailed statementm that there had been a significant improvement in Turkey's current account deficit since July. He also said the pace and composition of credit growth was moving as desired by the central bank.
