A report released by the Ramallah-based Alpha International for Research, Polling and Informatics showed Palestinians’ saw Turkey as the most supportive non-Arab country.
The survey measured public opinion on the countries which deliver financial and political assistance to the territory. Alpha International said it had surveyed Palestinians, all over the age of 18 and living inside Palestinian territories.
Twenty three percent of Palestinians ranked Turkey favorably, with the European Union ranking the second with 12 percent.
Only six percent of Palestinians said the United States supported them financially.
In response to questions about political support, 19 percent of Palestinians believed that no non-Arab country was giving them political support.
Both France and the European Union lagged far behind Turkey with only five percent in terms of political support.
