Istanbul (AA) - Otokar, the company which designed Altay, the first domestically produced main battle tank in Turkey, reported that it grew by 40 percent compared to 2013. Serdar Görgüç, General Manager of Otokar, said that the success was the result of the company diversifying its product line in 2013. "We have crowned 2013 with a satisfactory and significant growth in a proper way for our 50th anniversary.
We have seen a growth of 40 percent relative to 2012. Apart from that, we reached a turnover of 1.4 billion dollars. This is very important to us. We have achieved this through using various aspects of Otokar. We also acquired sustainability in growth. The biggest reason for it is that our product range is very broad. That is how we diminish risk," he said.
