Temel Kotil, CEO of Turkish Airlines (THY), said that they would continue to grow by opening new routes to every corner of the world. "You will see the actual growth in vertical growing. We will use new planes to increase flight routes," Kotil said. He emphasized that they will carry out more vertical growth this year. "We will fly to new cities in Europe. There will also be new destinations in Africa." As a response to rumors of him leaving the THY, Kotil pointed out that he had been working at THY for 12 years and he has been the chairman of the company for 10 years. "This is a longtime. People are asking me if I am going to make a change. Tim Clark is the person who created Emirates Airlines as we know it today. He has been in charge since 1986, which means our job isn't meant to finish in 10 years," Kotil said. He said that the THY's market share has grown since he was assigned as CEO. "If the rate has been growing, it means I am not tired. That is, I can continue my duty for years ahead. I want to be at the THY, particularly this year," he said.
