Forbes has released its 2015 list of the richest billionaires, which includes 32 Turkish individuals, an increase on the 24 included last year.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates held on to the top spot with his $79.2 billion fortune. Murat Ülker, CEO of Yıldız Holding, has been names the richest man of the Turkey with his $4.4 billion net fortune.
Mexican businessman Carlos Slim Helu held second place with his $77.1 billion fortune and American investor Warren Buffet held third place with a $72.7 billion fortune.
Among the 32 Turkish names on the list, the richest five people are Murat Ülker, ranking 369th, Hüsnü Özyeğin, ranking 690th ($2.7 billion), Semahat Sevim Arsel, ranking 714th($2.6 billion), Ferit Şahenk, ranking 737th ($2.5 billion) and Mustafa Rahmi Koç, ranking 737th ($2.5 billion).
