Quick, a chain of hamburger fast-food restaurants with a 1 billion euro turnover from 500 restaurants across Europe, has entered Turkey. The fast-food chain aims to increase the number of its restaurants to more than 100 with a TL 150 million ($58.2 million) investment in Turkey within the next five years.
Opening its first restaurant in Belgium in 1971, the hamburger chain has a turnover of more than 1 billion euros and 16,000 employees working at 500 restaurants in various countries, with France, Belgium and Luxembourg taking the lead. Naci Topçuoğlu, the CEO of IFB Gıda, which is the master franchisee of Quick in Turkey, said they decided to introduce Quick to Turkey following a ceaseless two-year search to find a new flavor that appeals to Turkish taste buds.
He underlined that Quick Turkey aims to reach 10 restaurants with an investment of TL 15 million by the end of year and continue with the fast-food chain spreading throughout Turkey within a short time. According to Topçuoğlu, they will open 100 restaurants with their own resources in the first five years with the intention of forming a solid basis for the brand.
