Turkish Airlines (THY), the country's flag carrier, has begun operating flights to Tajikistan, the airline said in a statement yesterday. The flights will operate twice a week on the Istanbul-Khujand/ Khujand-Istanbul route. The second-largest city in Tajikistan, and the capital of the northernmost province, Khujand is now the 34th destination served in the Asia, the statement said. Turkish Airlines, which was established in 1933, offers flights to over 270 international destinations in over 100 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Americas.
