The Turkish business world is about to set a new course for the future at the VİZYONER'15 Sectors Summit, which aims to become a sustainable business and economic summit. The summit has been organized for the first time by the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MÜSİAD), and will take place from Nov. 18-19 at the Wow Hotel Yeşilköy in Istanbul. The summit's driving theme is "sectors looking for their future" and its motto is "doing business with the future."

Important businesspeople and executives in Turkey will attend the summit, which aims to act as a long-term, sustainable platform that brings together businesspeople, entrepreneurs and sector representatives and introduce them to the opportunities the future holds. VİZYONER'15 will also act as platform to discuss changing sectors, new business opportunities and how to turn the uncertainty of the future into opportunities.

VİZYONER'15's main program will focus on emerging markets, new sectors, technological advancements, human resources and branding. The program's speakers include sectoral leaders such as TAV Airports CEO Sani Şener, CarrefourSA General Manager Mehmet Tevfik Nane, Renault General Manager İbrahim Aybar, Twitter's deputy chairman for global public policies, Colin Crowell, Tosyalı Holding Chairman Fuat Tosyalı, Turkcell CEO Kaan Terzioğlu, Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) Chairman Arif Ergin, former Deputy Prime Minister Beşir Atalay, Turkish Airlines General Manager Temel Kotil, Yıldız Holding Deputy Chairman Ali Ülker and LC Waikiki Chairman Vahap Küçük.

With more than 11,000 members both in Turkey and abroad, MÜSİAD is one of the biggest business associations in Turkey. MÜSİAD Chairman Nail Olpak said new ideas and visions will be created for the future during the summit. "The future is always a mystery, but we can be ready for it. Companies and sectors' preparations for the future are not adequate. Short-term targets and visions mean short-term success and survival for companies," Olpak said. He added that countries in general and sectors and companies in the private sector specifically lend their names and products to the future. Therefore, if they determine long-term visions and are ready for both domestic and international risks the future may hold, only then will Turkey take a step toward becoming a strong and dynamic country.

Underscoring that certain sectors and firms have achieved significant success in the world, Olpak said more brands should be renowned in the international arena, which requires effective branding, marketing and communication processes. "Companies need to place more importance and value on their human resources and should benefit from emerging and current market opportunities. Investing in technology is a prerequisite of survival in today's business landscape. Furthermore, analysis of requirements, developing new solutions and creating new sectors are a must for sustainable success in the future," Olpak said.
