Çukurova Regional Airport's bid for the build-operate-transfer project has been canceled, according to the Official Gazette.
Construction of the airport will be funded by equity capital from the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ).
On Dec. 14 last year, the DHMİ announced that the bidding contract for the Çukurova Regional Airport has been postponed to a later date which has not yet been announced.
Deputy Prime Minister Lütfi Elvan said on Friday that the decision was made by the High Planning Council, adding: "We aim to finalize a bidding contract in a few weeks."
