The International Energy Congress and Expo (EIF 2017), which hosts the energy sector's decision makers, experts and CEOs every year in Ankara, kicks off today in the capital city of Ankara.
The 10th event will be held at the Congresium Ankara ATO International Convention & Exhibition Center.
A wide range of topics relating to energy production in Turkey and worldwide will be discussed at the 10th International Energy Congress and Fair under the auspices of the Republic of Turkey, and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
The national energy policy, which relies on indigenization, supply security and the foreseeable market, the aim to generate two-thirds of energy from domestic resources, national mining policy as well as international projects in oil and natural gas will be discussed in elaboration.
Experts will evaluate various energy sources and markets in an environment conducive to discussions on the latest developments and practices.
Moreover, in addition to energy industry representatives, the congress will bring together nearly 250 firms and welcome many reputable international figures.
Representatives from major energy institutions are also expected to attend the congress, including the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), the Directorate General of Petroleum Affairs (PİGM), the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA), the Petroleum Pipeline Corporation Company (BOTAŞ) and the Turkish Petroleum International Company Ltd. (TPIC).
