Employment Council to convene for first time today

The Employment Council will be organized for the first time by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security under the slogan "Toward greater goals."

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security, which brings together the parties of working life with social dialogue platforms such as the Labor Council, the Tripartite Advisory Council and the Public Personnel Advisory Board, will add a new one to these organizations with the Employment Council.The council, which will be held for the first time today with the participation of employees, employers and government representatives at the Presidential Palace under the slogan "Toward even greater targets," will focus on policies to boost employment from the issue of unemployment. Within the framework of the council to be held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the International Employment and Career Congress will be organized and the employers who made the biggest contribution to the employment mobilization will be rewarded.

The International Employment and Career Congress will be the third congress to be held as a sequel to the International Business and Occupational Consultancy Congress organized by the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) in 2013 and 2014.

In the congress, which will focus on the current scientific studies on employment, it is planned to identify the obstacles in front of the employment of the groups in need of special policies, propose solutions in this regard, and discuss the permanent employment approaches and innovative approaches in increasing employment.

Within the scope of the congress aiming to bring together policymakers and policy implementers, panels will be organized under the titles "Industry 4.0 and the digitalization of the workforce," "New approaches to education and employment of people with disabilities," "Suggestions for the elimination of obstacles in front of women's employment" and "Young employment and NETT."
