The first Alanya Crystal Fortress International Film Festival will kick off on June 24. According to a statement released by the organizers, the festival's motto is "Let Friendship Win" and is organized under the leadership of the Cinema Development and Promotion Association (SİNEGED).

The festival is held with the support of Turkey's Culture and Tourism Ministry and contributions from Alanya Municipality, Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), Alanya Touristic Managers Association (ALTİD) and Alanya Chamber of Commerce (ALTSO). The festival will screen films with the theme of friendship and solidarity from Germany, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkey. The films scheduled for the festival include "Jack," "Happy Hour," "The Judgement," "Snow," "The Count of Oranges," "Seagulls," "Love Swing," "Homeland," "Down The River" and "Nabat."

Film highlights will also include Turkish director Atalay Taşdiken's film "Arama Motoru" (Search Engine) and the Turkish-Japanese co-production "Ertuğrul 1890," directed by Mitsutoshi Tanaka. A panel session titled "Cinematic Collaborations with Turkey and Central Asian Countries" will be held, and sector representatives will discuss how the Turkish cinema industry can grow, be promoted and be opened to new markets around the world.
