Six new films debut at Turkish theaters this week

Death in Sarajevo

Bosnia-Herzegovina and French co-production "Death in Sarajevo" is set in a hotel during the centenary of the murder of Archduke Ferdinand, which triggered World War I. As the staff, who have not been paid for months, undertake preparations, the film offers glimpses into the people's lives staying at the hotel. Starring Jacques Weber, Snezana Vidovic, Izudin Bajrovic and Vedrana Seksan, the film is directed by Danis Tanovic, who is known for his films "No Man's Land" and "An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker."


Mechanic: Resurrection

Directed by Dennis Gansel, "Mechanic: Resurrection," starring Jason Statham, Jessica Alba, Tommy Lee Jones and Michelle Yeoh brings the new adventures of Arthur Bishop on screen once again. After a long run, Arthur decides to quit his job as an assassin. However, when his girlfriend Gina is kidnapped by a very powerful and ruthless man, he has to pick up his gun again to save the woman he loves. His mission is to kill three men around the world and make the murders look like an accident.

Don't Breathe

The thriller "Don't Breathe" focuses on a group of friends who plan to rob a blind man's house and commit the most perfect robbery of their lives. However, as soon as they step into the house, they realize that nothing will go as smoothly as they hoped for. Starring Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette, Daniel Zovatto and Stephen Lang, the film is directed by Fede Alvarez.


Nerve

Produced by Allison Shearmur, the producer of the box-office hits the "Hunger Games" sequels, "Nerve" tells the story of a young girl who begins to play an online game but is dragged into a series of manipulative missions that she has to go through to save her future. Adopted by Jessica Sharzer's namesake novel and co-directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the film features Emma Roberts, Dave Franco, Emily Meade, Miles Heizer, Colson Baker and Juliette Lewis in the leading roles.

Star Trek Beyond

The remake of Gene Roddenberry's original story, "Star Trek" comes to the screen with a new film. Produced by J.J. Abrahams and directed by Justin Lin, the director of "Fast and Furious," the much-anticipated movie stars John Cho, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Sofia Boutella and Idris Elba. The film centers on the USS Enterprise crew, who find themselves in uncharted territory in the depths of space after completing the first three years of their five-year mission. USS Enterprise is nearly destroyed and Captain Kirk and his crew are in a desperate situation with no means of communication. Furthermore, they encounter a new powerful enemy who puts them and everything the Federation stands for to the test.

Top Cat Begins

Directed by Andres Couturier, the animated film "Top Cat Begins" is dubbed by Darin De Paul, Ben Diskin and Marieve Herington. The film follows Top Cat, who tries to save the world from the evil Mr. Giant.
