Having been called a glamorous reflection of classical musicals, "La La Land" will be at Zorlu PSM (Performing Arts Center) Main Theater for the Movies in Concert series under the sponsorship of Mercedes-Benz today and tomorrow. The soundtrack will be performed live with the screening. There will also be dance workshops, a vintage market, free Istanbul Lindy Hoppers shows and jazz performances in cooperation with Dancentrum Dance School.
On its way to becoming a classic with unforgettable dances, especially the tap dancing scene by the lead couple, Sebastian and Mia's "A Lovely Night" will be re-enacted at the Tap Dance Workshop that will take place tomorrow at the Sky Lounge under the direction of experienced choreographer Yuriy Mezokh. With the cooperation of Dancentrum, the basics of tap dancing will be performed for two hours at the workshop along with the choreography of the movie.
Sky Lounge will also host a waltz workshop tomorrow, again with the cooperation of Dancentrum. The emotional waltz scene by Sebastian and Mia can be experienced for two hours at the workshop. Mezokh will be teaching the basics of waltz along with the choreography of Mandy Moore.
For retro clothing and accessories and vinyl records reflecting the spirit of "La La Land," the vintage market that will take place today and tomorrow is the right place to check out. The vintage market will be set up at Zorlu PSM's main foyer and can be visited for free.
An Istanbul Lindy Hoppers show will celebrate the golden age of jazz with the energetic spirit of the 1920s. Before the "La La Land" concert, the Istanbul Lindy Hoppers team will warm up the audiences with cheerful energy. The performances are to take place today and tomorrow, and entry is free.
The nights will not come to an end after the screenings, since Cheers, the new venue in Zorlu PSM, will host jazz performances after screenings of "La La Land" both today and tomorrow, featuring Baturay Yarkın. The artist, continuing projects such as the Baturay Yarkın Trio and Yarkın Trio while also continuing local and international projects, will present a solo jazz piano performance.
