Sirkeci Railway Station to host Turkish premiere of ‘Murder on the Orient Express'

Adapted from Agatha Christie's namesake thriller, "Murder on the Orient Express" will make its Turkish premiere at the historic Sirkeci Railway Station, where the Orient Express starts its journey in the film.

The debut will be sponsored by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) Galas, established in 2016, and it will continue to entertain film lovers throughout the 2017-2018 film season.

The movie stars Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench, Willem Dafoe and Olivia Colman. The adaptation of the film was conducted by Michael Green. Directed by Kenneth Branagh and produced by Ridley Scott, the film focuses on a murder committed on the famous Orient Express travelling between Istanbul and Paris in the 1930s. Among the passengers on the train, famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot has a few hours to solve a murder before local officials arrive to help the snowed-in train. The film, which will be screened at İKSV Galas before its release in the U.S., will open for Turkish cinema lovers on Nov. 10.
