The "Barcelona Turkish Film Festival," which is held for the first time this year, met cinema lovers. According to a statement, the festival started with the screening of the film titled "Kış Uykusu" (Winter Sleep) accompanied by Nuri Bilge Ceylan's presentation.
Turkish Consul General to Barcelona Güçlü Kalafat, Ebru Ceylan, director Senem Tüzen, producer Yamaç Okur and director Selim Evci attended the opening ceremony of the festival, which is hosted by Filmoteca de Catalunya.
Seren Yüce's "Rüzgarda Salınan Nilüfer" (The Swaying Waterlily), Mustafa Kara's "Kalandar Soğuğu" (Cold of Kalandar), Fikret Reyhan's "Sarı Sıcak" (Yellow Heat), Onur Saylak's "Daha" (More), Tolga Karaçelik's "Sarmaşık" (Ivy), Senem Tüzen's "Ana Yurdu" (Motherland), Mehmet Eryılmaz's "Misafir" (The Visitor) and Selim Evci's "Saklı" (Secret) are among the films that will be screened in the event.
Held through the organization of Evci Film and the support of the Turkish Consulate General to Barcelona, the festival will continue until May 17.
