Meeting between Benin's president, Erdoğan canceled

The meeting between Presdent Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Beninese counterpart Thomas Boni Yayi, which was has been canceled.

Yayi canceled his visit to Turkey because of the ongoing electoral process in Benin, according to information received from the Turkish presidency.

Beninese voters will go to the polls on March 6 to designate their new president.

Yayi was expected to meet his Turkish counterpart at the Mabeyn Kiosk in Istanbul.
