ANKARA — Turkey's Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekçi said Turkey plans to implement a new visa procedure for foreign businessmen who invest in Turkey. "Germany and the U.K. provide limitless visas to businessmen who invest more than a designated amount. We are closely watching good examples like this," the minister said.
"Foreign businessmen come to Turkey to share our destiny and they link their future to Turkey," said Zeybekçi. "We should play our part and implement new visa policies that would lead to citizenship for foreign businessmen."
Zeybekçi also said Qatar may be the number three country which Turkey trades with. Highlighting the significance of the business forum, Zeybekçi said Turkey and Qatari governments will work together to encourage the businessmen to conduct joint projects.
