Bitcoin to be used for apartment sales in Turkish capital Ankara

by Daily Sabah

The MiaVita Beytepe project, in one of the most prestigious points in Turkey's capital of Ankara, will allow its customers to purchase apartments through the Bitcoin system, according to recent reports. In case of a sale through Bitcoin, real estate for the first time in Turkey will be sold with virtual money.

The MiaVita Beytepe project, which was realized by Anadolu Akaryakıt ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti, is constructed on 5,000 square meters of land. There are 114 apartments in the project, which consists of a single tower.

Underlining the Bitcoin, which is a great opportunity for those interested in cryptocurrencies and for new entrants to this system to evaluate their gains, will make positive contributions to both Turkey and Ankara, Project Management Firm owner Erdal Daldaban said, "We decided to make sales via Bitcoin, which has recently attracted the attention of Turkish investors with its recent value route, considering that we could also attract the attention of our customers who appreciate their investments like this. We think that virtual or digital money, in other words, has become an element that cannot be ignored for the global economy and sooner or later it will find a permanent place in our lives."

He also added that Bitcoin provided the most remarkable progress, technical infrastructure solidity and recognition within these digital currencies and rightly attracted the attention of the Turkish investors.

Noting that thanks to Bitcoin, transactions such as making payments and transferring money between accounts have become safer, faster and cheaper, Daldaban highlighted that since Bitcoin is not affiliated to any central bank, it operates independently of the monetary policies controlling conventional currencies. "You can even carry billions of dollars of bitcoins on a small memory card in an electronic wallet," Daldaban said, adding that it is very pleasant for them to implement this process for the first time in the internet age when it is very difficult to do this with cash or another system.
