Education Ministry, Microsoft announce collaboration

Microsoft's Office 365 suite will be taught to nearly 7 million trainees and students in collaboration with the National Education Ministry (MEB) and Microsoft Turkey, according to a written statement released by the MEB's Office of Press and Public Relations Counselor. The statement also highlighted how the partnership between the MEB Directorate General for Lifelong Learning – including teachers affiliated with the MEB's provincial directorates – and Microsoft Turkey aims to teach how to use Office 365 to 5 million trainees and 2 million open education faculty students. The suite is a productivity solution for apprentices, assistant masters and masters who are trained in education centers as well as managers and teachers, and improves people's abilities to use the application.Thanks to this initiative, which will take place in 81 Turkish provinces, trainees, students and workers will be provided the environment to improve their technological skills and help raise awareness about software and application development. Moreover, they will be able to receive training on software development at Microsoft Turkey's software development school Open Academy via www.acikakademi.com.
