The Ministry of Education suspended 2.400 teachers over their links to the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) late Thursday.
The teachers were suspended upon an investigation opened after the July 15 coup attempt perpetrated by a small Gülenist junta embedded within the ranks of the Turkish military.
The FETÖ is run by a fugitive preacher named Fetullah Gülen, who resides in rural Pennsylvania in a 400-acre compound. Infiltrating into key state institutions, the Gülenist militants tried to topple the democratically-elected governments of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan twice, first as a judical coup attempt on December 17-25 and later on July 15 as a military takeover.
