The fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and mineral oil sectors, , which total TL 125 billion ($47.9 billion), will come together for the 12th Petroleum Istanbul Fair. The International crude oil, LPG, mineral oil, equipment, station, market products and technology fair will be held between April 2 and April 5 at the Tüyap Fair, Convention and Congress Center. Furthermore, the Gas & Power Network Fair, which will be held simultaneously with Petroleum Istanbul, will also host leading firms from the natural gas and electricity sectors.

For the first time, the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) will open a stand at the fair, and its experts will meet with the sector's players and consumers. Energy experts from the crude oil, LPG, natural gas and energy markets will be available at EPDK's stand throughout the whole fair.

Petroleum Istanbul is the biggest fuel oil, LPG, mineral oil, electricity, natural gas and alternative energy trade fair in the Middle East, North Africa, Africa, Europe and Asia, and also hosts the highest number of visitors. Suppliers that sell byproducts for the sector will also attend the fair.

The CEO of Enerji Fair Organization, Mustafa Akıncı, said that about 200 firms will attend the fair including major firms from Turkey such as Tüpraş, OMV Petrol Ofisi, Opet, Aygaz, İpragaz, Aytemiz, GO and Turkish Petroleum, as well as global players including Russian Lukoil, Azeri SOCAR and British BP. The Gas & Power Network Fair will host important names from the electricity and natural gas sectors including the Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline (TAP) project company, İGDAŞ, Enerya, Yingli Solar, BOTAŞ, İpragaz Elektrik, UGETAM and Pegi Teknik.

The fair is expected to be visited by around 46,000 people, 16,000 of which will be foreigners. Additionally, 400 local and international brands will attend the fair.
