Iran will sell electricity generated from natural gas to five countries including Turkey, according to an Iranian expert. National Iranian Gas Export Company Director General Alireza Kameli said Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq and the United Arab Emirates will buy electricity from Iran, which produces its electricity at the country's natural gas plants. Explaining that an agreement was signed with some Iranian companies for the export of electricity, Kameli said they also signed an agreement with a few Turkish companies for plant construction last year.
