Turkey received only 740M euros from EU for refugees

Turkey's European Union Minister and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik said as of the end of July Turkey has received only 740 million euros in EU funds for Syrian refugees, adding that he is expecting all 3 billion euros in funds which were promised in the EU-Turkey refugee deal in March 2018, will transfer to Turkey by the end of 2017.
Answering written parliamentary question that submitted by the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) about the use of the EU funds for Syrian refugees Minister Çelik said as of the end of July 740 million euros was received and 105 million euros of these funds will be used to provide food and educational support to Syrian refugees.
Saying that 229 million euros of this amount was accounted for and 106 million euros of it transferred to international aid organizations, the written statement also revealed that 32 million euros to a World Food Program (WFP) project and 33.3 million euros to UNICEF educational support projects have already been paid through these funds.
