Museums can be an enjoyable place to enhance children's creativity and imagination. Entertaining workshops may allow them to discover their talents and have the chance to look at the world from a different perspective rather than just sitting at home in big cities where families search playgrounds with fresh air. Located on the northern shore of the Golden Horn, Rahmi Koç Museum will hold a series of weekend activities for children between the ages of 4 and 14. "Weekend training workshops" intend to improve children's social, emotional and intellectual development through cultural and scientific events. Since 2009, the museum has carried out training projects in a systematic way. Sponsored by Faber Castell, the workshops introduce a range of different activities from cinema, astronomy, sculpture, puppet making, drama, painting, mathematics, cuisine and design. Expert artists will be invited as guest instructors. Children will not only have a chance to make new friends but also learn by experience and enhance their social skills. They will happily return home with their creative designs. The workshops will take place at the historical Fenerbahçe Ferry, which was opened to public in 2009.
When: Between Sept. 6 and Sept. 27
Where: Rahmi Koç Museum
