Pera Film will host an experimental video screening titled "BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer)."The event will take place on Sept. 27 on the 5th floor gallery of the museum.The participant artists will bring their own projections and arrange their own screenings. The one night-only event has been organized in various cities around the world since 2010. The broad selection that is put together by Pera Museum Film and Video Curator, Fatma Çolakoglu and project assistant Ulya Soley, presents a look into the audio and visual creative tendencies. The event gives the visitors a chance to watch undiscovered artists of experimental and avant-garde. On this evening, these imaginative works will collide with one another, joining together to beam an inspired, fresh bloom. This event is presented parallel to Moving Image Istanbul, which will feature a selection of international commercial galleries and non-profit institutions presenting single-channel videos, single-channel projections, video sculptures and other larger video installations.The event is free of charge.
