The film "El Premio" (The Prize) will be screened at the Akbank Sanat film sessions on Nov. 22 as they continue to showcase prestigious examples of recent-era Peruvian cinema. In collaboration with the Embassy of Peru in Turkey, the Commercial Attache of Peru and the Istanbul Cervantes Institute, the free event provides the opportunity for film enthusiasts to become familiar with the film industries of different cultures while discovering new actors and directors. On Nov. 22, "El Premio," directed by Albert Durant in 2009, will be on screen. It stars Aristoteles Picho, Jose Luis Ruiz and Kathy Serrano. The plot involves a villager teacher who goes to Lima to collect the money that he won in the lottery and meets his long-lost son.
