Each work of art, no matter whether it is literature, music, architecture, sculpture or painting, is a description of the reality created within a historical context. Most theories in the field of aesthetics claim that painting is the last spatial art form that emerged before other temporal art forms. Indeed, painting did not develop within temporal moments as literature or cinema have, but depicts a story set within a specific period. Yiğit Yazıcı's work deals with enclosed areas. They present a motionless image, but the use of color, tone, lines, figures and contours allow viewers to create never ending movements in our minds. Some of his works show exploded letters, while others form a circle that whirls in a void. Visitors may also see objects looking as if they are abandoned to their fate. They reflect infinity, movement and fullness although they are surrounded with a limited and immobile environment.
