Turkish-American artist Özgür Aydın, a soloist with numerous orchestras in Germany and Turkey and the BBC Concert Orchestra London, will start his 2015 concerts in Istanbul today. He will be accompanied by soloists from the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra - Alessandro Cappone on violin, Naoko Shimizu on viola and Knut Weber on cello. The quartet will perform Mozart, Schuman, Zimmermann and Brahms. The highly praised musician made his concert debut in 1997 with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. He recorded solo piano works by Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninov and Liszt for the European labels Videal and Yapı Kredi. Having attended various musical events around the world from the Edinburgh International Festival to the Chopin Festival in Poland, Aydın's next concert destination will be Ankara tomorrow.
