Sanatorium will host the Lyon-based artist Handan Figen's second solo exhibition "Lucky Incident" until Feb. 14. The artist makes use of installations and various video techniques to draw viewers' attention to the process of drawing, in addition to her previous works and style, which combine watercolors and pencil sketching. The artist attaches great importance to her latest exhibition, as it reveals how art is created and the phases of the creation process. Figen does not allow for coincidences and incidents in her art, but she deliberately installs them in the origin of her drawings simply to push the limits of her imagination as well as the viewers'. The artist also intends to stimulate the five senses of the visitors with her installations. Born in Istanbul, Figen started her art education at the Parsons Paris School of Design and Arts, and continued her master's studies at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris.
